Documentation & Stewardship
Each conservation project is carefully documented, with attention given to the condition of the timepiece, work performed, and significant historical or mechanical details. Photographic documentation and a written conservation report may accompany significant projects, creating a record for the owner and future stewards of the timepiece.
Selective Practice
Village Time & Tide accepts a limited number of commissions, allowing each timepiece the attention, research, and bench time appropriate to its significance. Projects are considered individually based upon historical interest, complexity, condition, and the scope of conservation required.
Private Consultations & Commissions
Consultations are available for collectors, estates, and owners of significant timepieces. Inquiries are welcomed regarding conservation, restoration, documentation, and the evaluation of historically important clocks.
